Our own kennel name!

January 15, 2005 - Today, we heard that our application for the kennel name Lowlands Trail has been approved! That's great news. The approval is just in time: Spikey and Belukha's puppies will already carry the name on their pedigrees. This means our Duch and Dyna will fully be known as Lowlands Trail Duchess and Lowlands Trail Dynamite.

Why this name? We chose 'Lowlands' as it expresses where we originate from: we live in the low country of Belgium and have the Dutch nationality; the Netherlands being an even lower country. 'Trail' obviously means 'path' or 'route', indicating we mainly wish to run with our Malamutes, explore beautiful (often hopefully white) nature.

We think it is a smooth name with an international sound to it. The coming weeks we'll design a nice logo and re-design our website to match that logo's style. Our two website addresses are www.lowlandstrail.com and www.alaskan-malamute.nl.
