Welcome Cayuna

December 15, 2003 - Cayuna came to live with us as a young rescue Malamute. When we were at the Nicolaustour a man came up to us with pictures of young pups. He told us the puppies were 10 weeks old and urgently needed new homes as the owner of the dogs recently very suddenly died. We thought about it a while and decided to take a females puppy from that litter. Guy and Patrick Jansen each also wanted a female.

She has been with us for three days now and I must say she's adorable. She's sweet, very attached, energetic and already has beautiful proportions. Her build is really very different from all the Malamute puppies we had before.

Cayuna is very slender and flexible and walks and runs beautifully light. Like a little wolf. We are curious to see if she stays that way and has a drive to run. Edmond and I already lovingly call her our 'Huskymut', haha.

So, we are happy to have her and also feel good about helping someone out. Guy and Patrick have two of her sisters. They all look very much alike at the moment. Let's see how they develop!
