First training round season 2004-2005

August 28, 2004 - For more than a week now it has been raining like crazy. The all-time rain record for the month of August even seems to have been broken - hallelujah....pffff). Therefore, training the dogs with our bikes is out of the question since we have no death wish. As a result of this lack of exercise the dogs are becoming more and more agitated, since their energy is building up and up.

This night however the temperature suddenly drops so dramatically that it is possible to use the light cart for a little training round.

We put Cayuna (our 11 month old bitch)carefully in the middle of the team of 5. Just to see if she likes to join them and run along for a short while. However, she's so crazy we simply can't keep her in that position: she's just to greedy and fast and passes our leaddog Belukha. Of course she's still very young, but over and over again Cayuna proves to be most happy when she can run. A real promiss for the future she is.... Anyway, Edmond was not unsatisfied at all with this first short run. And the dogs obviously loved it!!
