Belukha
Belukha is one of our most beatiful Mals. She has a compact strong build, a height of 57
(just one centimeter below the Malamute standard for females), lovely shining coat in winter
and a sharp mask around her eyes. This mask nicely emphasises her characteristic
strongheadedness and independence.
'Don't mess with me...'
Belukha is our Alpha female, no doubt about it! If Belukha gets fed up with the other
females or even with a male like Spikey, they are in big trouble... If they don't
respect her they'll learn it the hard way, it's as simple as that. Belukha rules.
Attached but independent
We have a very close bond with her and whenever we go to her kennel or playground
she always gives us a big hug. But after that she gone, off to play! There is so much
to discover, to dig up, or to hunt after. Belukha is an independent dog that likes
to go her own way. Se's happy to play with the others, but never for very long.
After a while she takes off again, observing everything from her cool freshly dug hole.
A real knockout, our Poeki-Belukhi!
Mother of Duchess and Dynamite
In December 2004 we had 7 healthy pups out of the combination Spikey x Belukha.
Belukha was a kind and caring mother for the little
ones. From this first Lowlands Trail litter we have kept Duchess and Dynamite.
