New acquisition
We purchased Macho at the end of May 2006 from
Roger Dahl,
a well-known musher/breeder from Norway (Alta). Our goal is to develop a distance team consisting only of Alaskan Huskies, with
which we aim to take part in multiple day races in Europe (Scandinavia).
Macho already earned his reputation as a long distance athlete being part of Dahl's team for the past two years.
In 2005 the team even won the
Finnmarksløpet
(a race over more than 1000 kilometers)! Besides his own racing qualities we deliberately chose experienced Macho as he can
play a big role in training the young ones.
Character
Macho is a very gentle, but also shy dog.
Not that he's afraid or anything, but he seems to need a lot of time to completely trust people.
