'Dutch Belgians'

We are Edmond Schoemacher () and Mascha Verweij (). We both have the Dutch nationality, but since May 2001 we moved to Belgium. We started out in a little village called Vosselaar and (for dog purposes) moved to the even smaller village of Poederlee (Lille) in the summer of 2004.

Sharon, Sven and Luna

Edmond had two children from his previous marriage, year old Sharon and year old Sven, who live with their mother in The Netherlands. By the end of 2005, the both of us were blessed with the birth of a little girl, called Luna (). So, during the week ít's the three of us here, but we love having all kids around during as many weekends as possible and some holidays.

Work

We earn our living working for our own software company called Libersoft, which specializes in the add-on modules M1 Maintenance and R1 Rental on the SAP Business-One platform.

Our Alaskan Huskies

We spend almost all or our freetime caring for and training our great Alaskan Huskies, with the aim to take part in longdistance touring and racing. With this website we wish to let you share in our love for these amazing athletes.

Our most beautiful dog...

In 2001 we started out with Alaskan Malamutes and at the highpoint of our 'Malamute era' we had a team of 8. But long-distance racing tempted us more an more and gradually we switched to Alaskan Huskies. Our Malamutes all found great new owners, most of which still work with them in a team or on an individual basis. But our best leader and friend Spikey will stay with us always! Many people say he is the most beautiful dog in our yard and perhaps they are right: Spike is a phantastic year old Mal, with the spirit and energy of a puppy :-)!
