CAC at Deerlijk - September 6, 2003

Edmond went to the yearly CAC to help the crew that organised it. We did not enter any dogs as we really don't like participating in shows and, more important, the dogs don't seem to enjoy themselves either (the waiting can be long and boring).

However, we must admit that showing your all-brushed and shiny Malamutes works. Should one have a kennel good show results help spreading a positive image. What we think lacks though is an evaluation of the dogs character as well: a show only tells you about its looks and not about social behavior, intelligence, working capabilities, etc. All equally important issues that make up a good, friendly and stable sleddog.
