First race - St-Vith (Belgium), January 31 - February 1 - 2004

The first real race, even on snow! Well.... snow?! Upon arrival their lay about 20 centimeters (a lot for Belgian standards), but the first race day it melted away like crazy. By midday lots of spots of grass, mud and asphalt already came through, making racing extremely hard and basically a stupid undertaking (good for wrecking your equipment). Our dogs did 23 kilometers (in not even a bad time considering the circumstances), but looked back at Edmond several times as if to ask him if he had lost his mind ... ;-)

No surprise; the second race on Sunday was cancelled.
